Beauty Classic 2011

Wow!! What a really great Ronda and I had at the 2011 hair show here in Columbus,Ohio.
As cosmetologists we are required to have 8 hours of continuing education every two years.  Hair shows are one way to achieve these hours.We have to say it is the most exciting, fun, jam packed ,tiring two days of the year!! There is so much to see and so much to learn. Here are just a few things  we saw.


First, temporary tattoos. They are fun before a party you may go to, for the weekend, or just whenever.Its a great alternative to the real tattoos and children  love'em.


Second. It was the Gels for Natural nails. It is an alternative to regular nail polish. Regular polish chips whereas the gel nails do not chip and last 2 weeks. What a great way to go especially if your hands are in water a lot .

Third Keratin Complex , a smoothing treatment that helps reduce natural curl and eliminates frizz leaving your hair smooth shiny and sexy

The latest update on the hair booms (soak up oil in the gulf) are looking really good . Go to this web site

We will  collect hair as long as Matterr of T rust accepts it. Clean up of this spill will take years . Keep coming in for those hair cuts. We can all be part of a great clean up.

This is an non-profit organization that donates hair to oil spills around the world.They either stuff nylons with hair to soak up oil spills or make hair mats to soak up oil spills. As we all have been watching the oil spewing into the Gulf, you can know that your hair is being donated to help soak up some of the oil !!  We are also collecting clean nylons with or without runs to send. If you have nylons you no longer wear  we will be happy to send them. This is just another reason to come and get a hair cut (not to mention it makes you feel great).

March is moving right along. It has been a very busy month.Everyone will be happy to know I have just got back from a hair show in Indianapolis,Indiana. I saw the new spring styles. I also had a hands on class, which means I cut and color one of the new spring styles on a maniquinn head. I have her here at the shop. Come in and see the new style.
